The Palestinian Rebel (Al Falastini Al Thaer) 1969

€0.00

A young Palestinian puts his carefree life aside to defend his country—and he’s captured by Israeli occupation forces when he’s on a special mission. Ghassan Matar, a Palestinian star of Egyptian cinema, appeared in this film and several others that accompanied the rise of the Palestinian resistance in the late 1960s. (They are not well known today.) Matar was close to the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, a connection that led to the killing of his mother, wife, and son by Syrian intelligence agents at their home in Beirut during the Lebanese civil war.
