Born in 1992 in Mogadishu, Somalia, Mo Harawe is a Somali-Austrian filmmaker who discovered his passion for cinema through art school in Somalia. In 2009, he relocated to Austria, where he pursued studies in visual communication and film at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. Harawe has directed several acclaimed short films, including Life on the Horn (2020) and Will My Parents Come to See Me (2022), both of which garnered international recognition.
